Yo fellas, hope y’all Sunday’s been smooth.

Last week’s kickback was a vibe. Real talk, we dug deep on something a lot of us deal with but rarely say out loud: Why it’s hard for men to speak up and really use their voice.

A lot of that traces back to times we were shut down, silenced, or even told to "man up."

We started it off with this icebreaker poll:

"When it comes to the root of having a voice, who or what has taught you to be a man over the years—and what moment or experience made you start questioning it?"

  • The examples (or absence) of other men

  • A heartbreak or failed relationship

  • Going through life and learning the hard way

  • Becoming a father / Losing a father

  • Something else

Which one speaks to you right now? Let us know or bring it to the next convo!

We also touched on about celebrating our wins. With the world telling us to grind harder while there are systems in place that are against us, celebrating could be a REAL hard thing to acknowledge.

We challenge yall to ask yallselves: Are there wins that you’ve ignored? And is life repeating itself because you haven’t fully honored how far you’ve come?
